Ladies and gentlemen, we are closer than ever. All of the videos are completed (93 so far) and I have all of the stuff I need to get rolling. I'm in the process of pulling the trigger on everything, so it looks like will get a complete makeover of both functionality and feel in about a month or so. Saddle up for the best Christian Guitar Lessons website on the plantet!

Closer and Closer

I've have just about finished editing 50+ video lessons. There are about 40 to go, but at least I'm halfway through. I am happy to say, though, that any one who went through those first fifty could play rhythm guitar to practically any song in any key. The other 40 or so deal more with advanced music principles and electric guitar.

Progress Report

The lessons keep coming. I have recorded about 80 videos so far--which means about 200+ gigs of guitarmann 1s and 0s are sitting on multiple hard drives. A few videos to go, and then it's editing time.

New Worship Charts Book

The new charts book is here! This second edition includes about 30 more charts than the original--with some favorites like "Mighty to Save," "The Stand," and many many more.

The studio charts are THE way to go if you're in any type of worship setting. I'm telling you, they beat old-school "words with chords written over top of hopefully the right word" charts or the "8 page booklet that details every harmony and piano lick" charts.

The charts are clean, to the point and will cue the WHOLE band on the important parts of a song--the flow (verse, chorus order), repeats, stops, dynamics (louder, softer), you name it. Plus, I've even taught 8 year olds how to read them. Piece of cake!!

Filming Has Begun

Q: What's the fastest way to get a guitar player to stop playing?
A: Put a piece of music in front of him.

It is part of my life's mission to end this foolishness. Why do guitar players know so little about music? Let's blame it on a lack of instruction. Actually, let's blame it on how boring teachers have made learning music. They are just trying to justify the money and time spent learning all the stuff that you'll never need!

Guitarmann to the rescue. Of course, there's the book already--the Guitarmann Method, which explains everything you need to master guitar. But, I know you'd probably rather see it than read it. Videos are on their way. I'm spending the entire summer filming and editing. Soon, you will be able to eat the fruit of this labor.
